Abby & Nathan's New Years Eve Wedding :: Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

What a way to end 2010 and a GREAT year for my photography business! (More about my year in my next post.) I celebrated my 2011 New Years in style - with an AMAZING wedding!!! Abby and Nathan (aka Neil Diamond - check out the pics for evidence) provided nothing short of a STUNNING night! A gorgeous couple, beautiful ceremony, highly entertaining reception, and iconic image rocking in the new year, made this celebration one for the record books! Be sure to check out the slideshow under a few of my favorite pics!

Thanks to all who made the night so flawless at St. Louis de Montfort and the Renaissance Marriott!

Katie & Drew's Wedding : TMNT Style

Okay, I have to admit... I had way too much fun playing with these photos! I had the honor of shooting the beautiful wedding of Katie and Drew. Drew is the brother of a previous bride and is also the famous "flower sniffer" on my website. You'll have to hunt the picture down! It's worth it!

Well, this past weekend was their big day and they were all more than willing to ham it up for me. If you look closely, you do see an intentional resemblance in coloring on the guys that might cause you to think of Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, & Raphael -- no, not the old dead dudes from history -- rather the one and only turtles in a half shell -- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! That, of course, totally explains the mad hops on the guys in the second picture below. Needless to say, we tend to have a little fun on my shoots!

Be sure to check out the slideshow below the pics for more!

Kasey & Skye's Slideshow

As I was putting this slideshow together, I couldn't help but think again how blessed these two are by the great family and friends they have surrounding them. It's hard to explain if you don't know them. I've been to many many weddings. As a photographer, I'm around many parts of the day that are filled with stress and nerves. This day was different. From the beginning to the end, everyone was laughing, hugging, and dancing. It was hard NOT to catch their beauty and smiles! Check out the slideshow and you'll know what I mean!

Zsarenet & Ja'Rell

So it was obvious in the engagement shots how relaxed and fun Zsarenet and Ja’Rell are, but my expectations were not the same for a wedding live on television. As you can see here, they were unshaken by the cameras and interviews. It was clear that despite the additional pressures of this wedding day that they are in love and ready to start this new, exciting phase in their relationship. What a unique experience to work around the true production of a wedding yet to really be able to see their focus on one another!

Ashley & Naaman

I soaked in the beautiful Fall weather this past Saturday with a wedding down in Bloomington, Indiana! Great Weather. Great People. Great Fun!!!

I've had the opportunity to get to know Ashley and Naaman a little over the past few months from gatherings and shooting Ashley's sister's wedding, Erin & Dustin. They are such a sweet couple that know how to have fun and laugh! It's fun to see the family dynamics and to build relationships with them. Not many photographers get a chance to dance with the bride and groom! =)

Up above is one of my favorite pictures from the day. You'll find more of them by checking out this slideshow below!

Oh yeah, and for those of you that were there... "OTIS...My Man!"

MALLORY & BRIAN'S WEDDING

It's been a blessing to get to know Mallory and Brian over the past year and then to be a part of every intimate moment of the couple's big day. These two have an obvious passion for the Lord that is reflected through their family and friends.

I love shooting weddings at Redeemer Presbyterian Church because there are so many great details and locations to get some awesome shots... like these!

I love stained glass and bright colors!

This couple knew how to work it for me!

There are so many great shots from this day that I could load this post with images; however, it would be better to just check out this rockin' slideshow and enjoy the thumbnails after! Thanks Mallory & Brian for some of my most favorite shots ever!!!

Erin & Dustin's Wedding

These are called "Jazz Hands"... you'll have to check out the slideshow below if you want to be lucky enough to see the "BLADES"!!!

Erin and Dustin have a very special place in my heart! Erin, because she worked at Cafe Patachou (love that place so much I even went there today to work on their slideshow!) and Dustin, because he's a Chicago Bears fan!!! Those two things right there automatically make them some of my favorite people in the world! (Far, far from my wife of course! Are you reading this honey?) Now, if I can just convince Dustin to invite me over to watch a Bears game and have Erin bringing me a yummy Chicken Salad on Croissant...

Anyway, I'm stoked because I get to see Erin and Dustin again when I shoot her sister's wedding in September (this has been the summer of siblings). Here are a few of my favorite shots of Erin and Dustin along with the slideshow below that you won't want to miss! Check it out and enjoy! P.S. Don't forget to look for the "BLADES"!

Falan and Johnny Slideshow

It's finally here!  Falan and Johnny had a beautiful intimate wedding up in Culver, Indiana and the day was meant for them!  Dark clouds, rain, and wind threatened the morning until the sun took over and made it one of the most beautiful days of the year!

I admit it!  I get choked up at weddings!  Sometimes it's the thought of my wife, sometimes it's the thought of my daughter (when she's 40 of course), but most of the time it is because I've had an opportunity to truly get to know the couple and I feel a connection to them.  After all, it's hard not to.  You spend the most intimate moments with the couple individually, together, and with their family and friends on what is often THE most important day of their lives so far.  It's hard not to feel like you are a part of it all.  Falan and Johnny were no exception!

I tried to capture snippets of their day in the slideshow below.  Check it out!

Brooke & Jake

This past weekend I had the pleasure of shooting with my good friend Kiera at one of her stellar weddings outside Indy.  She has been a big part of my business launching off and I'm forever grateful for her!  These two were married in a beautiful backyard at her parents' place.  Thanks for letting me be a part of the day!

Jenna & Aaron

This past weekend I got the pleasure of second shooting for a great local photographer, Shawna Schaub.  It's fun being able to work with another photographer and share ideas and creativity.  Shawna was filled with both.  Here are a few of my favorite shots.  Be sure to check out Shawna's blog for some of hers!
