MY NEW BABY... www.brianmcguckin.com

I'm so stoked that my new site is up and running now!  A lot of time, sleepless nights, and MochaTonix have gone into designing this.  My favorite thing about it is that I can easily change any of it, in any way, at any time!  A shout out goes to my boy DJ and his "Showit Sites."  DJ is a photographer/entrepreneur who's kinda been a silent mentor to me along the way; a few times in person and other times through his blog.  He's done an amazing job of helping make photographers' work easier and continues to come up with new things.

As I tweak a few things here and there, all slideshows from my old site are no longer available.  I will be posting new ones in the near future!

IMPOSSIBLE!

Apparently, I don't watch enough tv. So, I just came across this video clip on a friend's site and had to post it here to share. I'm a sucker for sappy stories, especially when someone is told that they couldn't do something, or that something is impossible. Things only become impossible the day you quit trying!

Check this out, if you haven't seen it already!

ANY SECOND NOW!!!!

THE BIG DAY IS HERE!!!  I've been working pretty hard for a while now on my new site and am excited to have the main part done and ready to launch.  There are still a few areas, such as testimonials, that I'm video editing as you read this, so a few more changes will still come.  But until then, keep an eye out for the site!

Those of you looking for any of my slideshows usually posted on this blog or in other areas, I apologize for any inconvenience.  With my new site, comes a new host; therefore, EVERYTHING is being wiped and starting fresh.  Thanks for your patience!  It will be worth it in the long run!

Here's a peak at the new home page...

Out with the old... IN WITH THE NEW!!!

As I look into the year ahead, there are a lot of exciting changes happening for my family and photography business.  One of the most exciting is my new website--to be released within the month.  It's going to look unique compared to my current one (and many other sites out there that follow the same template), but more importantly, it's going to allow the friends and families of my brides and grooms to have a sneak peek into their lives.  You'll have to wait to see it, but for now, here's a snapshot of my homepage.

Another tradition--my amazing wife thought of--is to use our Christmas tree after the holidays to display our hopes, dreams, and goals.   We loved having the tree in the house and weren't ready to recycle it yet, so we thought we'd keep it up for a while.  What better way to utilize it? It gives us greater permanence to the "New Year's Resolutions" and the kids really enjoyed dreaming the ideas.  We all jotted down our thoughts on homemade, recycled paper ornaments.  It causes us to stop every day and think about what we're doing to try to make them happen.  One of mine is to exercise more often, which is being driven by my signing up to run the Indy Mini and a training group to help hold me accountable.  Running isn't something I enjoy much, so I'm looking forward to the joy of such an achievement!  What are you doing today to reach an important goal in your life?  Who can hold you accountable?

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Sarah & Patrick's Wedding

This wedding was a blast!  They were a photographer's dream with their great facial expressions!  I had it in with the two flower princesses, so I had to include this shot of us below!
